Amy Anderson is a visual artist and arts educator based in the Birmingham, AL metro area. She specializes in painting abstract florals but also creates work with the human form and local city scenes. Her artistic focus is our fluctuating level of connection with nature and having conversations with color. With an academic background in Psychology, she worked in local schools doing substance abuse prevention before becoming a full time artist.

Amy began teaching art lessons in 2015, working with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc, and The Cultural Arts Center in Dothan, AL. In early 2021, she established ART & Soul, a teaching endeavor that allows others to learn and create art. She is an advocate for more art classes in the community with her first e-book, "Become a Teaching Artist: The Ultimate Guide" available now on Amazon.

Amy is the Creative Director of non-profit organization Beacon People. She serves on the board of the Hoover Arts Alliance and is also a member of the Greater Birmingham Arts Education Collaborative (Arts Collab).
